Directions:
Blanch tomatoes by dipping in boiling water for a few seconds until the skin splits. Remove all skin from tomatoes, cut in half or quarters and put in clean sterilized HOT quart jars. Add 1/4 teaspoon salt to each quart, fill with boiling water to about 1/8 inch from the top, wipe off jar rim. Place seal and ring on jar, place in canner with cool water to cover jars; place cover on pot and let water come to a boil before cooking for 15 minutes. Remove from water and place on dishtowels until cooled and sealed, you will hear the jars pop as they seal.
