6 c Sugar
1/2 c Vinegar
1/2 c Red Cinnamon Candy

Cook 20 minutes, stir once while cooking. Seal in glass jars. This is cooked in the oven. Lura Carico

I usually cook mine on top of the stove. Get it to boiling, then turn down the heat and keep it stirred to keep it from sticking.

Mother gave me this recipe, how to make apple butter in the oven. We were sitting at her table one morning approximately 30 years ago. I am a messy cook, do you agree?
