1 pkg. Duncan Hines Butter cake mix
1 pkg. vanilla pudding (small)
4 eggs
1/2 cup rum
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup nuts

Sauce

1 stick butter
1/4 cup rum
1/4 cup water
1 cup sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients. Add liquid, eggs and beat 2 minutes. Grease bundt pan or tube pan heavily. Chop nuts and put on bottom of pan. Add mixture and bake at 325º for 1 hour. Cool in pan 25 minutes.

Sauce
Combine ingredients and boil for 2 minutes. Stick holes in cake and pour sauce slowly over cake.

This is a recipe Great Aunt Gladys would bring over sometimes when she visited and it was one of Daddy's favorites. Aunt Jean said one day when Aunt Gladys brought the cake to mother's it smelled so strong of rum mother did not want daddy to have any!
