2 tablespoons flour
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 lbs. beef, cut in cubes
2 tablespoons shortening
2 cans tomato soup
1 1/2 cups chopped onion
1 tablespoon basil
4 medium potatoes, pared and cubed
4 medium carrots, chopped
1/2 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, salt and dash of pepper. Coat meat in cubes in seasoned flour. Brown in hot shortening. Put in large crockpot. Add soup, 3 cups of water, onion, basil, potatoes, and carrots. Cook in crockpot 6 hours on high or 9-10 hours on low.
