2 1/2 T olive oil
6 cloves garlic - thinly sliced
3 28-oz cans chopped or crushed tomatoes
1 1/4 tsp sugar
kosher salt

Directions:
Directions:
In heavy cast iron or dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium heat
add the garlic and cook until fragrant but not browned (1-2 minutes) Add the tomatoes, bring to simmer, and cook until thicken slightly. About 15 minutes

Stir in sugar and season with salt to taste.

Serve over pasta or refrigerate up to 1 week or freeze.
