1/2 Cup shortening (some butter)
1 Cup sugar
1 Egg

STIR IN:
3/4 Cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla

SIFT TOGETHER & STIR IN
1 & 3/4 Cup sifted flour
1/2 Tsp baking soda
1/2 Tsp salt
1/2 Cup cocoa

CHILL AT LEAST 1 HOUR, OVER NIGHT IS GOOD
DROP TSP FULL LIGHTLY GEASED BAKING SHEET
BAKE 8 MINUTES 400 DEGREES

FROST WITH FAVORITE CHOCOLATE ICING
