12 whole graham crackers, broken into quarters
1 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

Line a 15in. x 10in. x 1in. jelly roll pan with waxed paper and grease the paper. Arrange crackers in pan and set aside. In a saucepan, melt butter and sugar over medium heat; boil gently for 3 minutes. Pour over graham crackers and spread. Sprinkle nuts on top. Bake at 325º for 10 minutes. Cool.
If you want them chocolaty, melt 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips, spread over bars and allow to cool again. After chocolate is set, pan can be turned over so waxed paper can be peeled off. Can be frozen. Makes 4 dozen.

These are popular with kids and grownups. So, so easy to put together. But that instruction to turn over and peel off the paper is really not necessary. They will break apart and come off the paper easily.
