Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 cans clams, minced (you don’t have to mince them, they sell them this way)
½ lbs bacon
2 jars clam juice
1 bottle white wine
1 medium half and half
¼ onion, chopped or onion powder to taste
6 to 8 small potatoes
white pepper to taste
thyme to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Peel, rinse, and cube potatoes to ½” size and add to large pot. Add clams, clam juice, and white wine to pot. Add water to cover potatoes if necessary. Boil till potatoes are soft, approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Do NOT drain. Meanwhile, cook and crumble bacon and set aside. If using onions, saute onions in bacon grease. Once potatoes are done, add the remainder of the ingredients. Bring to boil and then eat. If you want the soup to be thicker, mix a little bit of flour with some milk and add to pot.

Personal Notes:
It doesn’t really taste like clam chowder, it’s just good (says Derek)
