2 8-oz packages cream cheese, softened to room temperature
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 envelope Ranch Style Dressing Mix (the kind that says "just add milk")
1/2 cup pecan pieces (chopped fine)

Ritz crackers

Directions:
In a medium bowl, knead together the cheeses & Ranch mix. Or you can use a gallon size zip bag to keep your hands clean. Shape into a ball. Lay the pecans in a shallow bowl & roll the cheese ball in them until it is evenly coated in pecans. Wrap cheese ball in plastic wrap & chill for at least an hour.

Serve with crackers.

I worked at Suniland back in the late 70s & early 80s. Kristoffer - I was pregnant with you when I worked there. I was in charge of the designers' library. A girl named Cindy brought this cheese ball to an office pot luck & I fell in love with it.
