"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
9 T. Butter
1 C. Sugar
2 Large Eggs
3/4 C. plus 2 T. Cornmeal
1 1/2 T. Baking Powder
1 1/2 tsp. Salt
2 C. Milk
2 C. Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs. Mis in baking powder, salt and cornmeal. Add alternately milk and flour. Pour into a greased 7x11 or 8x8 pan. Bake at 350 until done (approximately 30 minutes). Recipe can be doubled for 9x13 pan, but will make a little extra (probably an extra 8x8 pan). Be careful not to fill pan too full.

*You can put a single batch into a 9x13 to make it go farther, but it just won't be as tall- like Frontier Pies makes it.
