1 LB. Tennessee Pride (Hot) Sausage
1 LB. (or more) Quaker Quick Oats
1 PKG. Lipton Onion Soup
1 32oz. Low Sodium Beef Broth
1/8 tsp. (at least) Cayenne Pepper
1/8 tsp. Red Pepper Flakes
¼ tsp. Dried Thyme
1 Bay Leaf
¼ tsp. Salt and a Pinch of Pepper
(You can add minced garlic and chopped onion per your taste)

In a large pot add beef broth, cayenne pepper, salt, pepper and sausage. Break the sausage up in small pieces with your hands (once the sausage is in the liquid, it breaks apart easily). Turn on burner and bring to a boil.
Add the Lipton Onion Soup mix and stir. Boil until the sausage pieces are no longer pink.
Discard the Bay Leaf.
Reduce heat to low and stir in the Oats a little at a time – until it is hard to stir.
Pour into a pan. Cover and refrigerate for a couple of hours.
Slice it and fry with a little butter in the skillet until golden brown and heated all the way through.
