Ingredients:  
3 c sugar
1 c shortening
1 3/4 c pumpkin (1 small can or half of 1 big can)
4 eggs
1/2 t baking powder
1 t salt
2 t baking soda
1 1/2 t cinnamon (Britt adds an additional 1/2 tsp)
3 2/3 c flour
2/3 c water
(Britt adds a tsp of vanilla and a tsp of nutmeg)
1 pkg chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix ingredients together in a large bowl. Grease and flour 2-3 bread pans. Pour batter into pans and bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted. Serve.
