3 large onions
1-2 T. oil
1 4 oz. can tomato sauce
1/4 t. salt
1/2 t. garlic powder or 1 clove garlic, finely cut
1 2 or 3 lb. roast
1/4 c. red wine

Directions:
Directions:
In a pot- saute onions in oil until golden brown. Add tomato sauce, salt and garlic. Mix well. Place roast on top. Pour wine over meat. Keep covered and cook on low flame for 1 1/2 hours, turning once. Take roast sometime midway after 1/2 hour to an hour of cooking. Let cool. When cool, slice roast and return pieces to pot with gravy. Put gravy all over slices and cook on low flame for 5-10 minutes. Serve with gravy.
