3/4 C. Soft Shortening
1 C. Brown Sugar
1/4 C. Molasses
1 egg
2 1/4 C. Flour
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1/4 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Cloves
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat Oven to 375º
Mix:
Shortening, sugar, egg, & molasses
Sift:
Flour, baking powder, salt, cloves, cinnamon & ginger
Add & mix flour mixture to molasses mixture.
Cover & chill in refrigerator at least 1 hour.

Roll dough into balls & dip top in sugar.
Grease a sheet pan
bake 10-12 minutes
