8 c. Quaker Oat Squares Cereal (~ 1 box)
1/2 c. pecan pieces
1/2 corn syrup
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp baking soda
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 250º F. Combine cereal and pecans in 9 x 13 pan. Combine corn syrup, brown sugar and butter in a saucepan. Heat mixture until it boils. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and baking soda. Pour over cereal mixture stir to coat. Bake for 1 hour stirring every 20 minutes. Remove from oven and spread on baking sheet to cool. Break into pieces.
