Golden Dumplings Recipe

1 cup SR Flour
1 tbsp butter
1 egg
cup milk
Pinch salt

4 tbsp syrup
4 cups water
1 1/2 cup sugar


1. Sift flour & salt into a bowl,
2. Rub in butter
3. Add eggs to mixture with enough milk to make a dry dough
4. Roll into walnut size dumplings and drop into boiling syrup
5. Simmer gently, covered for 15 20 mins
6. Serve with cream
