1 cup water
2 cups hot milk
1/2 cup white sugar
2 tsp. salt

2 small cakes of yeast

2 beaten eggs
1/2 cup shortening

Enough flour to handle easily.

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the water, hot milk, sugar and salt. Let cool until lukewarm.

Crumble and dissolve the cakes of yeast in the mixture.

Add the beaten eggs and shortening.

Mix in the flour. Let rise once, punch down and let raise again. Form into rolls and bake in hot over (350 - 375º).

If making caramel rolls, use the Caramel Bottom and Topping Recipe.

This is HUGE favorite in my family. We love it as dinner rolls, sandwich buns, cinnamon rolls, caramel rolls - it has also been passed on to the children!
