Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 1/2 C flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 C butter
1/2 C butter flavored shortening
1 1/2 C sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening/butter and sugar; beat until light and fluffy

Add eggs and vanilla; mix until combined (I don't beat a lot after eggs go in-it can make a tough cookie dough)

Combine dry ingredients and stir or sift. Mix into wet ingredients until combined.

Pat out dough in a disk shape (may want to divide into more than one) and wrap in cling wrap; Refrigerate for a few hours or overnight up to a few days

Flour a board or the counter; put a little flour on your rolling pin and roll out dough 1/4" thick or less. Cut with cookie cutters and place on greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar before baking if desired. The more you handle the dough the tougher the cookie.

You can also scoop the dough and press flat with a glass.

Bake 360 degrees for 6-10 minutes.
