Directions:
Peel apples and slice into greased with margarine pan.
Mix dry ingredients, blend in butter ( can be melted so easier to mix).
Sprinkle over apples.
Bake @350 º for 35-40 minutes.

Adjust bake time if putting into several smaller dishes.
we usually suggest that it is done when it is bubbly throughout.

These can be made up and put in the fridge or freezer to bake later.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I have written this recipe as it was handed down to me , however we have taken some license to adjust the amounts and type of apples used and made notes as such.
It all started a number of years ago when we lived in Sylvan Lake and were given some apples. We ended up making several batches of Apple Crisp and delivered them hot from the oven to our friends and neighbours.
It was always well received and has proven somewhat magical in it's power to lift hearts, renew contacts, build bridges and mend fences.
When we moved to Olds we gained our own beautiful apple tree and used that blessing as an opportunity to meet all our new neighbours.
This tradition has carried on through almost 15 years and there are many people who look forward to it. We typically give out between 40 -100 Apple Crisps each season. This has become a very special recipe because it has taught us and our children how to work, think of others, share and use what you have and it has truly brought so much joy and blessings into our lives and all those we have shared it with.
