2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup water
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1/2 cup shortening

1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla

frosting:
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup buttermilk
3 tablespoons powdered cocoa
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon and baking soda in a large bowl and set aside. In a saucepan bring water, cocoa powder, margarine & shortening to a boil. Pour over dry ingredients and mix well. Add in buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Mix until wet. Pour into a greased and floured 10x15 pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 16-20 minutes.

Frosting: bring butter, buttermilk, 3 tablespoons powdered cocoa to a low boil. Turn off heat and add powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix well and frost while cake is hot.
