Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 lbs lean spareribs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon chile powder
1 teaspoon celery seed
2 cups brown sugar
1/4 cup vinegar (I use a little less)
Few drops tobasco sauce
1 teaspoon Worchestershire sauce
2-1/2 cups catsup mixed with 2 cups water
1-1/2 tablespoon dry instant onion

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ribs on both sides. Put in roasting pan.

Combine ingredients and boil 2 or 3 minutes. Pour over ribs, cover and bake in slow oven, 325 degrees F. for 2-2 1/2 hours or until tender. Baste frequently.

Remove cover and increase heat the last half hour to brown ribs if you like them that way.

If you like them more spicy, add more of the spicy things.

P.S. I also add a little barbecue sauce and about a teaspoon of Real Lemon juice.

I have typed this recipe because some of the copy is cut off.

I make a double batch and freeze in medium size containers. You have plenty in stock to use on barbecue chicken or other favorite meat. Of course, nothing is better than ribs on the grill made in this sauce. Mom always oven-baked but just as good on the grill.
