Ingredients: Here's how to achieve your own personal time out, regardless of stress. Go to Specs® and secure a bottle of Cachaca® (pronounced ka-sha-sa) (It's a great but potent sugar cane remedy) Get yourself some nice juicy limes Have plenty of sugar, ice and time on hand.
The Brazilians use an apothecary type setup to grind the lime into juice, pulp and rind. I used to use that, but have since bought a squeezer that can be found at HEB®, etc. It's not classic, but does the trick.

Directions:Get a SMALL plastic cup (Red SOLO® or otherwise) and put into it the squeezed contents of one average sized lime (juice, pulp and rind - everything) Add 2-3 tbsp. of sugar. Stir like mad. Fill the cup with ice. Stir again. Fill the cup with Cachaca. Stir yet again.
Sip sparingly at first. Sit back and finish at your leisure - you've got leisure now, regardless of what may have been going on! Best of luck and sorry for wasting the rest of your afternoon. You'll thank me!! |

Notes: Ever spent time in Brazil, or gotten to know a Brazilian? The stereotype pretty much holds true. They're take-it-easy, "Why worry?", "love is all you need" sort of folk. The bump and grind can wait for another day. Ever spent time with our Vice Commodore Charles? He's got seventeen things going on at once, has the answer to a question before the question is formed, and won't let a glass go empty on his boat regardless of how many happen to be partaking at a given moment. Well, Ladies and Gentlemen, allow me to introduce the VCtoB (Vice Commodore to Brazil)! That's right! This easy to make, readily available libation is the consummate 'work arrestor'. A few sips, and the world slows, work can wait till tomorrow, and funny is a bit funnier. Don't believe me, ask those mentioned above!
