2-Tablespoons Olive oil
1 med. onion chopped, about 1/2 cup
1 sm. green pepper chopped, about 1/2 cup
1 lg. clove garlic, finely minced garlic
1 can (16oz) whole tomatoes, with juice
1 can (8oz) tomato sauce
1 Tablespoon chopped fresh basil OR 1 teaspoon dried
1 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh oregano OR 1/2 teaspoons dried
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Optional 1/4 teaspoon fennel seed

Heat oil in 3 qt. saucepan over med. heat
Cook onion, pepper and garlic in oil for about 2 min.
Stir in remaining ingredients
Break up tomatoes
Heat to boiling; reduce heat, cover and simmer 45 min.
