1½ c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
2 eggs (beaten)
2 tsp. vanilla
½ c. walnuts (chopped)
1 20 oz. can crushed pineapple in its own juice (do not drain)

Frosting:
1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese (softened)
¼ c. butter (softened)
1¾ c. powdered sugar
¼ tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
½ c. walnuts (chopped)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°. Combine sugar, flour, baking soda, and salt. Mixing by hand, add eggs, vanilla, walnuts, and pineapple. Grease and flour a 9 X 13 inch baking pan. Pour batter into pan and back for 30 to 40 minutes. Do not overbake. In a medium mixing bowl, cream the cream cheese and butter; add powdered sugar and continue to cream mixture. Add the salt, vanilla, and walnuts; mix well. Spread on cake.
