1/2 cup salt
3 quarts cucumbers, thinly sliced
2 green peppers
1/4 cup pickling salt
3 cup sugar
1 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp mustard seed
2 cup onions
1 red pepper
2 quarts cold water
3 cup vinegar
1/2 tsp celery seed

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and wipe cucumbers and slice without peeling. Slice onions and cut up peppers, not fine. Dissolve salt in water and pour over vegetables. Let stand 3 hours and drain.
Then combine vinegar, sugar, tumeric, celery seed, mustard seed and pickling salt and bring to boiling. Add vegetables and bring to boiling point again. Fill sterilized jars and seal.
