2 1/2 c boiling water
2 c oatmeal
1 c butter
2 c sugar
2 c brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp vanilla
4 eggs
3 c flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Frosting (put on cake right out of the oven)

1/2 c butter
1 c brown sugar
6 T milk
2/3 c chopped pecans
1 1/2 c coconut
Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter, oatmeal and boiling water. Let sit for 20 min. Add remaining ingredients. Bake at 350º for 1 hr 10 min or until just done.

Frosting - Melt butter, add brown sugar, stir constantly until just boiling. Remove from heat. Add coconut, milk and nuts. Beat w/mixer. Pour hot mixture over cake when it comes out of the oven
