3 bay leaves
shredded cheese [as much or little as you like]
1/4 c. sour cream [optional]
1 box elbow macaroni
1 lb. hamburger [93/7]
1/2 T. garlic [from jar]
1/2 yellow onion [chopped]
2 14.5 oz. cans diced tomatoes
2 15 oz. cans tomato sauce
3 T. soy sauce
2 T. Italian herbs [by spices]

1. Preheat oven to 350º
2. Brown hamburger with onion and garlic
3. While hamburger is browning, get water to boiling in large pot and add the noodles
4. Cook noodles until tender, drain and set aside
5.Once hamburger is browned add remaining ingredients of soy sauce, tomatoes, tomato sauce, herbs, bay leaves, cheese and sour cream and mix well
6. Pour the above hamburger mixture over the noodles and mix well so that all the noodles are covered.
7. Put in a baking dish and bake at 350º for 20 minutes.
8. Serve with additional cheese and sour cream if you like

Maria noted that Stella calls this goulash "goodlash" so she did not have the heart to change the name.

I use cheddar cheese.
