1/2 cup finely minced fresh mushrooms
3/4 cup finely minced seeded green pepper
1/4 cup finely grated peeled carrot
3/4 cup minced peeled onion
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
2 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
6 hamburger buns, toasted

Mix ground beef with the vegetables and soy sauce. Shape into six one inch thick burgers. Cook on hot grill for approximately 3 minutes on each side or until done to your preference,

I came up with these burgers as a way to "sneak" some nutrition into my young kids. To my surprise, they liked them and didn't notice the addition of the vegetables. I have continued to make these even now that the kids are grown and gone. This makes a juicy, tasty burger.
