1 med can crushed pineapple in heavy syrup (drained)
1 pkg vanilla pudding (NOT instant)
1 egg beaten
1/4 c sugar
2/3 c milk

Directions:
Directions:
Drain pineapple, mix pudding with syrup from pineapple and scant 2/3 c milk. Add beaten egg and sugar. Cook over low heat until thickened. Remove from heat, add 1 tsp vanilla and drained pineapple. Pour into greased baking dish. Melt one stick of butter. Cut 5 slices of bread in four pieces (crust removed). Dip in butter and place on top o pudding. Bake 350º 20-30 minutes or until browned.
