1 5-7 lb. ham half
1/2 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Place rack in bottom of large stock pot. Add 1/2 cup water and place the ham on the rack. Turn on high heat until steaming, reduce heat to simmer and simmer, not boil for about 3 hours or until ham is coming apart.

This is the way Grandma always cooked ham. It made the whole house smell like ham. Family members were known to take the lid off and grab a bite!
