Brownies:

2 C unsifted flour
1½ t baking powder
½ t salt
1 C butter, softened
2 C firmly packed brown sugar
3 eggs
1 C chopped nuts
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted

Chocolate Frosting:

¼ C butter, melted
1 oz unsweetened chocolate, melted
1½ t vanilla
2 C sifted confectioners' sugar
2½ T Milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 °F. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. In a large bowl, combine butter, brown sugar and vanilla; beat until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually blend in flour mixture. Stir in nuts. Divide batter in half. Blend melted chocolate into one half. Spread chocolate batter into well-greased and floured 9 x 13 pan. Spread plain batter evenly over chocolate layer. Bake 30 to 35 minutes. Cool completely. Spread with Chocolate Frosting (below). Cut into 2-inch squares.

Frosting: In a small bowl, combine butter, chocolate and vanilla; mix well. Blend in confectioners' sugar alternately with milk. Beat until smooth.
