2 egg yolks
5 T white sugar
1½ t vanilla extract
½ C butter or margarine, melted
1 t salt
2¾ C flour
2¾ t baking powder
2 t corn starch (can omit)
2 C warm milk
2 egg whites

Directions:
Directions:

In a large bowl, beat together egg yolks and sugar. Beat in vanilla extract, butter and salt. In small bowl mix flour, baking powder and corn starch. Alternately mix in flour mixture and milk until blended well.

In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until they have formed soft peaks. Fold egg whites into batter and let stand for 40 minutes. (10-15 min will do)

Spray preheated waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Pour mix onto hot waffle iron. Cook until golden brown and fluffy.
