2 cups white cheddar cheese, shredded
16 ounces cream cheese, softened
3 T mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
3 dashes hot sauce
5 slices American Cheese
Alphabet shaped cookie cutters (A, B, C, D, E)

For the sauce:
1 cup jam
1 T jalapeņo, minced fine

Directions:
In a food processor, mix cheddar cheese, cream cheese, mayonnaise, onion and garlic powders and hot sauce. Press into a 4 inch square container sprayed with nonstick spray or lined with plastic wrap. (Square vase, square plastic food container or the bottom of a half gallon milk carton). Chill cheese block for at least 1 hours. Remove it from carton and straighten edges with a sharp knife. Decorate cheese block with slices of American cheese cut with alphabet shaped cookie cutters. Serve at room temperature. For the sauce mix the jam and minced jalapeņo. Chill for an hour. Serve on side.
