Ingredients:
10 c water
4 c vinegar
3/4 c coarse salt
3/4 c white sugar
2 T pickling spice
garlic
dill

Directions:
Directions:
Clean cucumbers. I put crushed ice on mine to keep them nice and cold. Mix brine. Put pickling spice in a bag boil with brine. Keep brine hot while filling jars. Use hot sterilized jars and lids. Pack cucumbers in quart jars with 2 heads of dill and 2 cloves of garlic. Once jar is filled and lid is on, I invert jar into the boiling water I use for sterilizing jars (2-3 inches of water) and leave for approx. 5 min. Helps jars to seal without processing.
