1 egg
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening (softened not melted)
1/2 cup grapenuts
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
2-1/2 cups cake flour
1 tsp soda

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg, add sugar and shortening mix well. Add grapenuts, sour cream,
and vanilla.
Sift together flour, soda, and salt. Gradually add to egg mixture until all flour has been mixed in. Knead lightly, keep dough as cool as possible. Cut off portion and roll on floured board with rolling pin. Cut and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake in quick oven 6 minutes or until light brown.

Cookies will be thin.
