2 slices bacon cut up and fried
1 large potato, diced
1 small onion, diced
1/2 c. water or clam juice
3/4 qt. milk
1 Or 2 stalks of celery, diced
1 can minced clams and juice

Directions:
Directions:
Fry bacon in sauce pan. Drain fat, and add diced potatoes, onion, celery and water. Steam until potatoes are done. Add clams, juice and milk. Salt and pepper to taste. Heat mixture, but do not boil. Add 1 tsp. of corn starch and 1/4 cup milk (mixed together) when soup starts to boil.

Serve with fresh warm sourdough bread.
