Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 container of chicken liver
salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste
1/4 minced onion
1 to 2 T mayonaisse
2 hard boiled eggs, diced

garnish: hard boiled egg diced

Directions:
Directions:
Boil chicken liver 7 to 8 mins. Do not overcook as it will make the livers tough.

Blend cooked livers in a food processor. In a bowl, add blended livers, onion, mayonnaise, eggs, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Adjust mayonnaise and seasonings. Be careful to not make the pate too wet with mayonnaise. Put in serving bowl and garnish with chopped egg.

Chill and serve. If making the day before, do not garnish - refresh pate by adding a little more mayonnaise - then garnish.

Mom says this recipe is from Uncle Bob Cavanaugh's grandmother who worked for the Melon Bank family. This recipe closely mirror recipes referred to as Old County Chopped Liver or Jewish Chopped Liver.
