1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
1 T. vanilla extract
2 eggs, slightly beaten
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 t. baking soda
1 t. salt
3 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.
In a large bowl, combine the white and brown sugars. Add butter and cream together with the sugar. Add vanilla and eggs, mixing well.
In a separate bowl, sift the flour, baking soda and salt together. Add dry mixture to the creamed mixture. Mix well; the dough will be stiff. Add the chocolate chips and nuts.
Drop by spoonful onto cookie sheet and bake 10 - 12 minutes.
