1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 onion, diced

1 can tomato soup + 1 can water
1 can tomato sauce + 1 can water

Directions:
Core the cabbage head and drop it in a pot of boiling water. As soon as leaves loosen, remove cabbage from water, pull away single leaves and drop in a colander to cool. Brown the ground beef with the onion and add the cooked rice and bacon to it. Add salt and pepper. Trim the thickened part of each stem, if needed. Fill each leaf with some of the beef mixture, roll up and secure with toothpick, if needed. Combine the tomato soup, sauce and water and pour over the stuffed cabbages. Bring to a simmer on top of the stove and continue simmering (gently) for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
