1½ cups cold whole milk
1 small pkg(4 serving) Instant Chocolate Pudding
1 (8 oz) tub cool whip
16 oreo chocolate cookies (divided)
1 can cherry pie filling

I use a deep round see-through bowl for this recipe.

Pour milk and dry pudding mix into large bowl and whisk 2 minutes or until well blended. Gently stir in 1 cup of the cool whip.

Coarsely crush 10 of the Oreo cookies and stir into the pudding mix.

Layer in bowl: 1/2 pudding mixture, 1 cup of remaining cool whip over pudding mixture, 1/2 of the cherry pie filling over cool whip, remaining pudding mixture over the cherries, remaining cool whip over pudding mixture, and remaining cherry pie filling (saving 3 tbsp. for center over the cool whip.

Crush remaining 6 cookies and sprinkle on top of dessert. Add the 3 tbsp. of cherries in the center of bowl.

This is very good. Not stuffy. I usually serve it when we have get-togethers.
