CAKE:
3 C Flour
3 C Sugar
3/4 tsp. Salt
3 sticks Butter
1 1/2 C Water
5 T Cocoa
3 Eggs
1 1/2 tsp. Baking soda
3/4 C Buttermilk
1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla

ICING:
1 STICK Butter
3 T Cocoa
6 T Milk
1 Box Powdered Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla

CAKE:
Sift together flour, sugar and salt. In a saucepan, bring butter, water and cocoa to a boil. Pour over flour mixture.

Beat 3 eggs, 1 1/2 tsp. soda, 3/4 cup buttermilk and 1/2 tsp. vanilla.

Bake on a cookie sheet (with edges).

ICING:
Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and mix with 1 box of powdered sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla.

Ice while hot.

One of Aunt Caddy's (Eddie's sister Catherine McDonald Capoccia. A treasure of recipes were found in an old buffet, I believe and was then distributed to all her children
