1.5 lbs. ground beef
2 large onions, coarsely chopped
1 large green pepper, coarsely chopped
1 can (28 onces) tomatoes, crushed
1 can (6 ounces tomato paste
1 can (20 onces) red kidney beans, drained
2 tablespoons chili powder (more or less to taste)
2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper

Cook the ground beef in skillet and drain. Place in a crock pot and add the balance of the ingredients.
Cook on Low for 4-6 hours. Great for packer games... Serve with chopped onions, cheese, saltines or a fresh baked loaf of bread...
