¾ cup margarine
1 cup sugar
1 (8 oz. pkg.) chopped dates
1 (3 1/2 oz.) can coconut (optional)
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cups Rice Krispies
Confectioners sugar to roll balls in

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all Ingredients except pecans, rice krispies and coconut in sauce pan.
Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes stirring constantly. Add pecans, rice krispies and coconut. Cool. Form into balls and roll in confectioners sugar.

These are very good. I usually make them at Christmas time. They can be stored in air tight container for 2-3 weeks in refrigerator.
