9 c raisins
3 c currants
750 g candied cherries
3 c mixed peel
3 c candied fruit mix
2 c walnuts
2 c butter
2 c sugar
12 eggs
4 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 c fruit juice
2 tsp flavouring
1 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix fruit, raisins, currants and walnuts with 1 1/4 c of the flour in a very large bowl. Cream butter & sugar in another bowl. Separate eggs. Add yolks to creamed mixture. Beat till light. Add remaining 2 3/4 c flour with soda, salt & spices. Mix well. Add to the floured fruit mixture with juice and flavouring. Mix together. Put into 4 loaf pans lined with parchment paper. Bake at 275º for 3-4 hours. Put a pan of water in the bottom of the oven after the first hour.
