1/2 cup egg whites (fresh)
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup white sugar (the finer the better)
cocoa powder for dusting
some melty chocolate

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 225, cookie sheets need to be lined with wax paper or foil
Whip egg whites till foamy then add tartar and vanilla
Keep whipping till soft peaks form
Add the sugar in increments careful to not let it settle on the bottom
Whip till stiff shiny peaks
Place in large ziplock or pastry bag
Pipe caps into smalls mounds and stalks into Hershey kiss shapes
Dust with cocoa (dirt)
Bake 1 hour till dry, attach tops and bottoms by poking a little hole in the underside of the cap and gluing stalk with melted chocolate

Seems really complicated but is actually fun! Store in airtight container and I find they freeze quite well
