3 Qts. water
1 C. sugar
1 T. whole cloves
6 cinnamon sticks

1 12 oz. can lemonade concentrate
1 12 oz. can orange juice concentrate
1 gallon apple cider

Directions:
Directions:
Bring first four ingredients to boil. Steep for one hour.

Add last three ingredients. Bring to boil.

I got the recipe from Deborah Potts in 1982. Deborah and I spent many hours talking over cups of wassail, and it became my “Christmas drink” to be enjoyed with cookies of any kind.

I gave lots of wassail as Christmas gifts, along with Raisin Jumbo and other cookies, until I finally accepted the fact that not everyone loves wassail as much as I do….
