1/2 c. shortening
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg yolk (use whites later)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. orange juice
1 1/2 tsp. lemon rind (zest)
1 c. cake flour (sifted)
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
candied cherries
Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients except candied cherries.

Roll into balls and dip into egg white and nuts, place onto cookie sheet nut side up, press in 1/2 candied cherry

Bake @350 º for 10 mins.
