¾ cup sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
¾ cup shortening
¾ cup peanut butter
2 eggs
½ tsp vanilla
1 ½ cups flour
1 ½ cup oats
¾ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
1 1/2 cups peanut butter, melted and applied after cooked

Chocolate Frosting:
1 cube butter
2 ½-3 cups powdered sugar
½ cup cocoa
1 tsp vanilla
¼ cup milk

Preheat oven to 350
Bars: Mix sugars, shortening, and peanut butter. Add eggs and vanilla. Add flour, oats, baking soda, and salt. Press into greased jell roll pan with bottom of cup. Bake for only 12-13 minutes, DO NOT over bake. Let cool slightly. Put peanut butter in microwave to soften it up. Spread it over warm bars.

Chocolate Frosting:
Melt butter. Add cocoa and stir completely. Add milk and vanilla, stir. Add powdered sugar, stir completely. Spread over cooled bars.

I got this recipe from a lady who came to a summer party at Grandpa and Grandma Chapple's one summer. I added where I melt peanut butter and put it over the bars and under the chocolate because I thought it would taste even better, and I was right. It's always a hit! I'd say it's probably the favorite thing that I bring to events. I was asked soo many times to bring it to family functions because everyone loves them.
