Pot Pie Dough:

3 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons butter (no substitution)
2 eggs beaten
1/2 cup warm water (more or less)

Potatoes peeled and diced.
Cooked chicken cut up in small pieces.)

For dough:

Cut butter into flour and salt, add eggs and water and mix until blended. Roll out dough thin and cut in 1 inch squares (more or less). Put dough in pot pie when broth is boiling.

I add potatoes (usually 5 or 6) to broth before the dough. I keep stirring and adding broth if needed to keep the dough boiling. After dough is all added, add the cut up chicken.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is my version of pot pie. I never had Grandma's recipe for the dough. I tried many from the internet and this is the one that my family liked the best.

I always use breast meat since most of us don't like dark meat. I know, it's crazy. Thigh meat is good though.

There is a recipe in the book on how to make broth if desired. Allot of times I just boil off some chicken breasts and then use bouillon or chicken stock/broth.

If you add potatoes before dough, they will get done by the time the dough is finished and will absorb the chicken flavor as well. You have to keep it brothy (so to speak).
