3/4 lb ground beef
3/4 lb ground pork (seasoned mild or hot)
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 clove minced garlic
1 - 1 lb. can (2 cups) canned tomatoes
1 cup tomato paste
2 tsp. oregano
1 tbsp. chopped parsley
12 ounces mozzarella cheese
12 ounces American cheese
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
8 ounces lasagna noodles

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat, onions, and garlic slowly. Spoon off excess fat. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, and seasonings. Simmer for 30 minutes. Cook noodles in large amount of boiling water until tender. Place 3 cooked noodles on bottom of 9 x 13" greased pan. Cover with 1/3 meat sauce and then mozzarella and American cheese. Repeat layers with last third of meat sauce added over cheese. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let stand 10-15 minutes prior to cutting into squares.

NOTE: I double this recipe and freeze one before baking so I have a second pan ready whenever needed.
